Lens Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 12, 2026

Lens is designed to open local image files on an Android device. The app focuses on local photo preview, pixel dimensions, file-size checks, share-size estimates, recent-photo history, and shareable plain-text photo notes.

Local file access

Lens lets a user choose a local image file through the Android document picker. The selected file is read on the device to show preview and file information. Selected photo files are not uploaded to a developer server by Lens.

Accounts and cloud sync

Lens does not require account creation and does not provide cloud sync.

Advertising

Lens includes Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform to show ads and manage consent where required. These Google SDKs may process device, advertising, app, and usage information according to Google's policies and user consent choices.

Permissions

Lens uses Internet and network state permissions for advertising. The app uses the Android document picker instead of broad storage access.

Local processing notice

Lens reads only image files selected by the user. The app does not sell selected photo contents, does not send selected photo contents to the developer, and does not request broad storage access.
