Bar Privacy Policy

Bar helps users read barcode text from a selected local image before product, label, shop, delivery, inventory, support, or customer handoff.

File access

Bar uses Android's document picker. The app decodes the selected image locally to show barcode result, barcode format, a short text preview, and a local Bar note.

No camera, account, or upload

Bar does not use the camera, does not require an account login, and does not upload selected images to an app server.

Limitations

Bar does not look up prices, does not verify product authenticity, does not manage inventory, does not edit images, does not save changed files, does not sync files, does not scan files in the background, does not validate uploads, and does not guarantee barcode accuracy.

Advertising

Bar uses Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google User Messaging Platform. Google may process device, ad, and diagnostic data according to its advertising policies.
