Hex Privacy Policy

Hex helps users inspect the first bytes of a selected local file as HEX rows, readable text, byte signals, and type hints before sharing, upload handoff, archive review, support, school, office, or troubleshooting work.

File access

Hex uses Android's document picker and optional Android file intent handoff. The app reads a capped local sample of the selected file on the device.

No account or upload

Hex does not require an account login and does not upload selected files, byte previews, HEX rows, or reports to an app server.

Limitations

Hex is not a file editor, byte saver, repair tool, converter, malware scanner, publisher identity verifier, archive extractor, decryptor, upload tool, or safety guarantee service.

Advertising

Hex uses Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google User Messaging Platform. Google may process device, ad, and diagnostic data according to its advertising policies.
