What Read does

Read is a local Android file utility. It lets you choose a LOG, TXT, CSV, TSV, or XLSX file with Android's document picker and shows a quick preview, file summary, table signals, or log/text signals on your device.

Files

Read processes selected files locally. File contents are not uploaded to a developer server by Read. The app reads only the file you choose through the system picker and does not request broad storage access.

Local data

Read does not require an account and does not provide cloud sync. The app may show sample data for onboarding, but selected file contents are not stored by the app after preview.

Permissions

Read uses Internet and network state permissions for Google Mobile Ads. It does not request camera permission, broad storage permission, location permission, contacts, SMS, microphone, or account access.

Ads

Read uses Google AdMob. Google may process advertising identifiers, device information, approximate ad delivery signals, diagnostics, and consent status according to Google policies. The User Messaging Platform consent flow may be shown where required.

Limits

Read is not a full office suite, spreadsheet editor, file repair tool, antivirus, cloud backup service, PDF reader, DOCX reader, HWP reader, or official verification service. XLSX support is limited to a lightweight first-sheet preview.
